Sorry to hear that the production will not be shown (off) to the whole school, think you would have done yourselves very proud if you did. You did do yourselves proud with the first production, the second one would probably have blown everyone away. So maybe it's a good thing you're not doing it then. heh heh...

Anyway, I'm not sure what the goal behind the first intro to theatre enrichment programme was, but what I wanted the programme to accomplish was to show each of you that theatre is not all about drama. I hoped that all who participated in it would learn or at least be made aware of all the aspects of theatre in it's barest form. Hence, the idea for a production was born.

Am not completely sure how much each of you guys took away from the programme, but I truly hope that you did learn something. At the very least, the gophers learnt how annoyingly hard it is to be gophers. (at least you weren't asked to fetch coffee... then again, buying food for the rest of the monkeys during rehearsals comes pretty close)

Whatever the case may be, I was well impressed with how you little dudes pulled it together in the end.

Kudos to the directors for giving their all to getting everyone to see and perform their 'vision'.

To the producers, who did a gob-smacking job of actually being productive, and getting some amoebas off their ar**s to do some work. And for not being afraid to yell at you guys. (heehee)

The gophers, who really did so much of the leg work, and the dirty jobs. Everyone loved the invites, think the teachers really appreciated it (and the other group wished they'd thought of it too...)

Technical people, in other words, Joanna, has well earned my respect. That little peanut has an eye for what works. Take note of that one...

Costume and makeup, it looked good, it didn't clash, mission accomplished! Well done!

And the actors themselves, magnificent job! You lot were convincing and not over the top. It flowed smoothly, it was creepy, yet happy and funny... It just worked so fantastically, unbelievable man.

It always gives me so much satisfaction to see a production come to life. No matter how many times you rehearse it, the real magic only bursts onstage during the actual performance itself. (stage magic exists, and it's a powerful powerful thing)

That reason alone should make me proud to have worked with you guys, but that's not all. Every production is special, and almost all hold great memories for me, this one, this one just has the little bit extra. I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls to mentor/train/babysit, and I am so glad I didn't turn down the opportunity to do so. As individuals, you possess so much talent. When you lot get together as a group, you could probably do as well as, if not better than a proper production by the drama group in school. (do you think i'm bragging?)

So, thank you guys for the memories, and there are quite a few, and thanks for making the production one that others will regret not having seen. I urge those of you who feel like you have learnt something from this experience to continue pursuing your interest in theatre. For it is through the many roles that we play in the theatre, that we find our true selves.

Rock on amoebas!

Also, if the opportunity ever arises to put the play on again, I say go for it! and get someone to record it on dvd/video!

Its been like 2 days since our performance and its killing me already!I miss our silliness and our "itdosen'thelpatall" recess practises. Now all i do during recess is PREFECT DUTY.which happens to be UNLOCKING DOORS?! but anyway, my point is that i hope even without the production on our heads we would stay as the amoebas FOREVER and hopefully produce another production for miss lee in thanks for what she has done for us.Although some of us may not know her too well but she was always there during the HIP! programme watching over the production so....:)) AND DID YOU KNOW MISS LEE CAME BACK TO SCHOOL TODAY?!
ohmeegosh.
YES I KNOW!and we missed her.shitshitshit.DANG!never mind. Its hard sometiems just to think that for a brief moment there we couldn't even stop to give her a big fat hug and hear her funny shrieks. In anycase, i'm not going to plant some huge emo fest here..but...I LOVE YOU AMOEBAS!WORK HARD FOR THE EXAMS...and at the end of it we get to do another production.SO AMOEBAS.DO YOUR THING!
:))with love,

No one in your life is with you constantly
No one is completely on your side
And though I move my world to be with him
Still the gap between us is too wide.
Looking back I could
Have played it
Differently
Those are part of the lyrics from I Know Him So Well from the musical Chess.I feel it embodies what i feel like now...
I MISS MISS LEE SOOOOOOO MUCH ALREADY.I miss having laughing fits.lol.
I mean, who would meet Miss Lee and not miss her if she leaves?
I'm going to bug her for her UK add and write to her...And i'll extort her e-mail address from either Miss Lee herself or Mrs Fern.

Hallo, you guys. This is Lynnie here; I've begun to speak like Zara. Hallo, hallo.
This is my first time posting on a black blog. What shall I do? Do I make my font some other colour rather than black? Okay, then, I'll make it red!

Okay, great.

Now I feel so strange. I'm merely helping you make this blog arise from the undead.
I sound like Calvin and Hobbes. Ooh, I like Calvin and Hobbes. Don't you? They're the best best comic around. Everything else is like slapstick!

But I digress. Anyway. Let's just get to the point and say bye bye. I love all of you guys and come visit my blog, the url is http://eachtear.blogspot.com so come and visit! (i'm too lazy too link myself)!! Bye, loves.

PS. I appear to have changed font colour nearer to the end, subconsciously. So ignore that.

We are a group of amoebas, merged into one. Though not scientifically possible, sadly, it's true. We are in the school's HIP (Highly ILLiterate People) programme, and one of the most recent and prestigious club.
Please, pardon our narcissistic approach(ego if you don't understand our upperclass way of the tongue).
